When discussing the use of psychotropic medications in the perinatal period, Dr Dobson adopts a collaborative and patient-centred approach. She works closely with patients — and, where appropriate, their families or supports — to explore the risks and benefits of all treatment options. She strives to supports informed, individualised decision-making that is aligned with each patient’s clinical needs, personal values and goals for care.
